1. Celebrate good people

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July. On the Fourth we celebrate America’s pathway to freedom and independence with fireworks, family, and a BBQ. This Fourth I will add something to the celebration: the good people in my life.

Last week, I was reminded of the value and power of surrounding yourself with good people. In an industry that attracts all types, from posers to Machiavellians, the support, comfort, and help of a network of good people beats any investor, advisor, or partner.

As you get ready to light sparklers, turn on the grill, and watch the movie The Patriot, create a list of the good people in your life and celebrate them. Honor them. Send them a note reminding them of their worth to your life.

Here is my short & incomplete list of good people I have in my life that I will celebrate:

Thanks for your patience, encouragement, late night hangouts, advice, crisis management, and everything else too long to mention.

Announce your list to the world. Share it with your friends. They deserve all the praise in your network.

    Happy Fourth of July

Don't be selfish:
